Whereas Western astrology has about 25 different house systems, Vedic astrology has only a few. The rashi chart is the most important foundation chart used by most Vedic astrologers, whereas the bhava chart is a secondary chart that rests on the basis of the rashi chart. Using precise rules, the two can be blended for deeper understanding and more accurate predictions.
