Every calculation in Vedic Astrology depends on the place and time of birth. Whereas the place of birth is almost always known, the exact time of birth is uncertian in many cases, and even time given on birth certificates are often significantly off. Astrological analysis should therefore always start with checking the accuracy of the time of birth. The "reverse engineering" of the time of birth , based on what is already known about the life of the person, is called birth time rectification. This lecture will give an introduction to the basic recification techniques and demonstrate the process with an actual chart.
